GENERAL NOTES

 

 

1.         The Sale is conducted strictly in accordance with the Conditions of Sale & General Notes contained herein & displayed upon the premises.

 

2.         Bids must be made for the items AS SEEN AND INSPECTED by the party (or their agent) submitting the bid.

 

3.         All lots are offered & sold without any warranty, guarantee, representation or undertaking (express or implied) as to condition or quantities.  

 

4.         Where a mileage is given no warranty or guarantee is either given, or implied, that the odometer reading is accurate. Potential purchasers must not rely on this information when formulating bid(s).  

 

5.         The purchasers acknowledges that all vehicles are sold without warranty, representation or undertaking (express or implied) that it is in such a condition, by reason of the provision of Section 68 of The Road Traffic Act 1960 (as amended by the fourth schedule to The Road Traffic Act 1962), that it might be lawfully used on any road.  As an express condition of this sale the purchaser undertakes that before using any vehicle on a public highway, that it is in such a condition to allow it’s lawful use. 

 

6.         Bidding will close at NOON ON THURSDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER 2010.

This auction has auto bid extension enabled. If a bid is placed within 10 minutes of scheduled auction end the auction end time will automatically extend by an additional 10 minutes. This continues with the new scheduled end time until no one places a bid before auction bidding deadline. Every time a bid is placed with 10 minutes or less left in the auction an additional 10 minutes bidding time is added until there are no more bids.

 

7.         Philip Davies & Sons, as agents, do not undertake to accept the highest or any bid.

 

8.         Parties making successful bids will be notified by email on THURSDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER 2010.

 

9.         Payment no later than 4pm FRIDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER 2010.

                                               

                        Payment in full by cash, banker’s draft, CHAPS transfer, debit & credit card.

                        (Credit cards are subject to a surcharge of 2%).

                                No amount over £250 may be paid over the telephone by credit or debit cards.

 

                        Bank details for CHAPS Transfer will be provided to purchasers only.

 

                     Banker’s draft or building society cheque:

Will be subject to verification with issuing Bank/Building Society before lots are released.

 

Cheques:

Unless prior arrangements have been made, cheques are not acceptable without a bank guarantee card.

 

Cash:

No amount greater than £2,000 can be accepted without photographic proof of identity.

 

                     Financing Assets

            Where a prospective purchaser is proposing to pay by means of third party finance, we strongly recommend that they ensure arrangements are agreed & in place with the finance company concerned, as any delay in providing full payment, may result in storage, insurance & interest charges accruing on the subject lots.

 

10.        Transfer of Lots

 

The Auctioneer will only accept payment from and permit removal of lots purchased by the named party or Company specified on the invoice, or their duly appointed agent (s). The purchaser details on the invoice will not be amended in any way nor will any lots be transferred to an alternative purchaser’s invoice.

 

11.        Value Added Tax will be charged on all Lots with the exception of Lots 1, 2, 3 & 4, 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 163, 164, & 165 which are zero rated for VAT purposes.

 

12.        A Buyer’s Premium of 15% (Plus VAT) will be charged on all lots.

 

13.        Collection: FRIDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER & MONDAY 6th SEPTEMBER ONLY.
